How to Convert PDF into Grayscale
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a two-dimensional file format used to represent documents that are independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. It was created by Adobe in 1993, and remained a proprietary format until July 2003, when it was released as an open standard. Although PDF documents are typically represented in RGB or CMYK color, it is possible to convert them to grayscale with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Open your PDF file in Acrobat Professional.
-
Step 2
Navigate to the “Advanced” tab, then go to “Print Production” and “Preflight.”
-
Step 3
Expand the “PDF Fixups” option (click on the small triangle next to the label) and select “Convert to Grayscale.”
-
Step 4
Click on “Execute.”
